The Volendam Klederdrachten Foundation maintains the original Volendammer costume for future people interested in this authentic clothing.

Our group of experts and volunteers are busy every day restoring our authentic collection. They even make complete costumes for enthusiasts that are worn with pride on special local occasions. At various presentations and shows in the country, our group presents the costume in real life to the public.

Guests from all over the world can admire the Volendam traditional costume - a symbol of Holland - in full splendor every day in the Volendam Museum.
