''Volendam: musical journey through the century!''

The exhibition "Volendam, a musical journey through the century" provides an overview of Volendam's rich musical history, never before seen on this scale.


From the successes of The Cats and BZN via Jan Smit and Nick and Simon to the 'different sound of Volendam' with bands such as Alasca and Mell and Vintage Future. 100 years of musical success from Volendam are being celebrated through never-before-seen photos, medals and special relics.

From March 3 to the end of 2024, the Volendam Museum will be dedicated to music. Music and Volendam are inextricably linked and the music of Volendam artists has achieved worldwide success. Take a musical journey through the past and present in the Volendam Museum and visit this unique exhibition!
